… Caribou Maine sets new record seasonal snowfall…
Through midnight March 20th, 2008, the National Weather Service in Caribou Maine had recorded 182.5 inches of snowfall since the beginning of the 2007-2008 snowfall season. This snowfall was the greatest snowfall total since records began in 1939, beating out the previous record, 181.1 inches, set in the 1954-1955 snowfall season.
Should Caribou receive climatologically normal snow for the remainder of March, April and may (8.1 inches, 9.7 inches and 0.5 inches, respectively), Caribou would end the 2007-2008 snow season with 200.8 inches of snowfall.
